Safe use of Aromatherapy oils

SAFE USE OF AROMATHERAPY OILS – ADVICE FROM IAHS

In response to the extremely unsafe advice from some U.S. based aromatherapy companies whose reps in Ireland are promoting the ingestion of essential oils orally ~

• Advising untrained individuals to ingest essential oils orally is hazardous and illegal in Ireland
• Claiming it is safe practice due to an oil being “Therapeutic Grade Certified” is completely false
• There is no such industry standard as “Therapeutic Grade” or “Medical Grade Certified”
• Orally ingesting essential oils poses genuine hazards and possible toxicity
