Winter Good Health

Although we had a wonderful Indian summer, seasonal coughs and colds made their usual appearance on time, as the school year began and bugs were shared round. IAHS members are often asked what we think about the flu jab, and though we can’t comment specifically, what we can do is offer a wide range of effective immune boosters. Some are well known such as vitamin C which we can now source in drop form which even babies can use. Others are combinations such as vitamin C, zinc and elderberry. Olive leaf as an anti-viral is increasingly...

Breast milk, rich in prebiotics, nourishes and promotes these bacteria which get the new human’s immune system up...

Summer time and the living is …

By the time you read this, exams will be over and sales of Rescue Remedy will have returned to normal levels – until August when the results are due! Stress, however, is with us whatever the season, and all year round customers come to us looking for suggestions which will help reduce anxiety and promote a good night’s sleep. When we put the IAHS Customer Care Protocol into action, asking if there have been triggers, if the symptoms are long-or short-term, what a customer might have tried, whether they are on medication etc, we can often...

IAHS Campaign to keep Your Health Tax Free

Irish Revenue are slowly but surely rolling forward with a policy which will mean, that money spent on maintaining or improving your health will be taxed at 23 percent. Bizarre though it may seem, VAT is now being applied to many food supplements and indeed herbal teas. Irish health stores have initiated a campaign to try to have this policy overturned. “Treating people’s attempt to maintain their health as if it was a luxury must be seen as the last straw and has to be resisted.”, declared one health store owner. All health...
